You were Made for More

Dear Reader,

Life is hard. We walk around this world constantly worried. We worry about our lives, our finances, our families, our health, our friends, etc. We worry about everything! Many times we don’t understand why everything can’t be right, why everything can’t be perfect, and why everything can’t be good. We think we need more money, more knowledge, more power, more things…. to resolve our problems and to accomplish our dreams. Yet when these become our end goals, we end up feeling like we are in a never ending race. At times, we can even run the wrong race all together because we can’t see clearly that more money, knowledge, and power cannot buy what the heart truly needs: healing, restoration, and ultimately salvation.

We all have dreams: personal dreams, collective dreams, dreams of a better life and dreams of a better world. While we should not stop aiming towards these dreams, maybe we should stop to consider what God’s dreams for our lives are also. Perhaps, we need to learn how to be more love, more compassion, and more peace in a world that is filled with violence, darkness, and relentless ambition. Let us teach the next generation how to be love, how to be compassion, and how to be peace. And may this be enough  to make their parents and communities proud. Let us strive first and foremost to be successful at being human.

So Dream, Dream big, because you were made for more, you were made for heaven.

And if you are feeling far behind on the race, I pray that no matter where you are in life, you know that it is never too late to start over; to get on the right lane and to aim high, very high, to aim towards heaven.
